Pencil Vs Camera – Best of Ben Heine

Published by:

It’s really tough to select the best in best! Yes I mean it. After see the whole Benheine’s Pencil Vs Camera illusion treat you’ll understand why I started the text like that.

Benheine is undoubtedly one of the most unique, innovative, and exciting artists exhibiting their work for people, he grew up in Ivory coast. “Pencil Vs Camera” is a new invented visual concept which took Benheine to the next level and the series had a bumping impact in graphic design community. It has a mix of photography, drawing, imagination and reality. Ben usually integrates an inventive hand made drawing in front of a realistic background. Ben’s hand is always clearly visible; it represents the close connection between the viewer, the artist and the artwork. Ben evolved pointillism in his arts by having the “points” be recognizable rather than “invisible”, thus adding a symbolic significance to his concepts.

Ben says: “I just make art for people. I want them to dream and forget their daily troubles. I used to write poems many years ago, I want to convey a poetic and philosophical meaning into my pictures, each new creation should tell a story and generate an intense emotion, like a poem, like a melody”.

and he says the original idea of this “Pencil Vs Camera” subject came by coincidence while he was writing a letter in his family house in Braives, Belgium. To know more about his biography and other visual works of him please visit Benheine.com.

Dain calls his animated GIFs stereographic drawings. The hand drawn pieces trick the eye by weird 3-D effect. These “stereographic drawings” are created from single drawings. The drawings are made with a ballpoint pen and color dye markers.

Brainy and Laughable Illustrations By Nathan W.Pyle

Anyone with a sense of humour and brainy will think and laugh with these Nathan W. Pyle illustrations. But what’s even more impressive about Nathan’s digital drawing is his distinctive style.

Nathan works as an illustrator and tshirt designer. He often over-think things of subjects and work on a silly idea and end with me working up in Adobe Illustrator for a more LOL effect to design the tshirts. Visitors are almost tempted to buy his cool designed tshirts because his process is so witty, But he makes a lot of shirts based on instructional diagrams. View his portfolio and interview to know about him more.
