The American manufacturer, Ford, is famous for its newly designed cars, and this company has been a very integral part of the automobile sector of the country, since almost 15 years, when they brought out their Ford Ikon. Ford New Endeavour
In order to keep up with the markets, Ford decided to revamp the fast-selling Endeavour, rename it as New Endeavour and re-launch it in Indian markets in January/February2016. The already good off-road capabilities of the Endeavour would be enhanced in the New Endeavour, with its ladder-frame chassis and independent coil-spring system at the rear. This SUV is designed on the basis of the company’s edge design technology. This New Endeavour will also be endowed with ‘Terrano Response’ 4-wheel drive system with adjusting traction control, for smooth drive. The existing 2.5 and 3 liter diesel engines will be fitted under the hood, though the transmission is expected to be changed from the present 5-speed manual and automatic to a 6-speed gearbox. The New Endeavour is expected to cost between 24-28 lakhs.
This is a sleek coupe from Ford, scheduled for a launch in March-April2016 and will be sold in a single variant, which is the V6 Coupe, costing between 40-50 lakhs. The mileage of this car is expected to be 7 km/l in city and 11 km/l on highways and is powered with a powerful 3720cc, 3.7 liter Ti-VCT, V6 motor, giving a power and torque of 305bhp and 380Nm respectively. The cabin of this car is done up in a contemporary style, with leather seats, leather wrapped tilt adjustable steering wheel with mounted controls, 50:50 split foldable rear seats, height adjustable driver’s seat, illuminated vanity mirrors, sun visors, all power-one-touch windows, interior lighting, and many more exquisite features. The exteriors look alluring, with its rugged-looking grille, powerful HID head lights with integrated turn indicators, stain-less steel twin exhaust pipes at the back and aggressive looking LED tail-lamps, apart from beefy 17 inch colored aluminum wheels.
This sedan was earlier introduced in the country, but failed to live up to its expectations and so it has been redesigned and will probably be brought out in September2016. It is expected that the same 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine, which is present in the EcoSport SUV, will be fitted under the bonnet of the petrol variant of Mondeo and the diesel variant could be fitted with1.6-litre TDCi engine or a 1.5-litre motor, which is presently under the hood of the Ford Fiesta. The Mondeo is expected to be priced at 15lakhs.
