All You Need to Know About Portrait Photography
What is Portrait Photography?
Portrait photography is the process of capturing portrait photographs or ‘portraits’, specific photographs that are basically photographs of people. A portrait is a picture that showcases the expression, personality and mood of the subject in the most accurate and most elegant manner possible. The focus of almost all portraits is usually the face of the subject, although the both the body of the subject and the background in front of which they are standing are often included in portraits.
In most cases, portraits feature only one subject, the one person who is the absolute center of the entire photograph. However, some kinds of portraits are known to feature more than one person, or rather an entire group of people, their personalities, their setting and their moods. Portrait photography is one half of the couple of the most basic kinds of photographs in existence, with the other half of the couple being a specific kind of photograph referred to as a ‘landscape photograph’.

Pencil Vs Camera – Best of Ben Heine
It’s really tough to select the best in best! Yes I mean it. After see the whole Benheine’s Pencil Vs Camera illusion treat you’ll understand why I started the text like that.
Benheine is undoubtedly one of the most unique, innovative, and exciting artists exhibiting their work for people, he grew up in Ivory coast. “Pencil Vs Camera” is a new invented visual concept which took Benheine to the next level and the series had a bumping impact in graphic design community. It has a mix of photography, drawing, imagination and reality. Ben usually integrates an inventive hand made drawing in front of a realistic background. Ben’s hand is always clearly visible; it represents the close connection between the viewer, the artist and the artwork. Ben evolved pointillism in his arts by having the “points” be recognizable rather than “invisible”, thus adding a symbolic significance to his concepts.
Ben says: “I just make art for people. I want them to dream and forget their daily troubles. I used to write poems many years ago, I want to convey a poetic and philosophical meaning into my pictures, each new creation should tell a story and generate an intense emotion, like a poem, like a melody”.
and he says the original idea of this “Pencil Vs Camera” subject came by coincidence while he was writing a letter in his family house in Braives, Belgium. To know more about his biography and other visual works of him please visit Benheine.com.
